Welcome to Silver Lining Sensory, where we have created a magical space for everyone to enjoy and explore freely and safely. Our specific sessions are designed to cater to individuals of all ages and needs, ensuring that everyone can benefit from the wonders of our specially designed sensory room. Our age-specific sessions bring together individuals within the same age group, from babies and toddlers to adults. We understand the importance of group interactions, which is why our sessions are tailored to provide a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all participants. As users grow older, our groups become smaller to ensure that each individual receives personalised experience without feeling overwhelmed.
What is a Sensory Room?
A Sensory room offers a therapeutic space for children and adults. The room is specifically designed to engage and develop the senses of the users. A sensory room is beneficial to children and adults who live with neuro diversity. Our room is specifically designed so that all users can explore in a safe environment. We have a wide range of equipment which users can interact with. From our bubble tubes, trampoline or ceiling swing, we have a range of equipment that is suitable for children and adults making our room accessible and inclusive. At Silver Lining Sensory we understand the difficulties of finding activities for some individuals. Not everyone enjoys the typical soft play setting, crowds of people and noise is overwhelming for some people and quite often users outgrow the typical options for activities. That’s why we created Silver Lining Sensory so that individuals with neurodiversity have somewhere they can enjoy at an affordable price.
Who can benefit from this:
We have a variety of sessions tailored to different age groups and needs, ensuring that everyone can have a fantastic sensory experience.
· For those with special educational needs (SEN), we offer dedicated SEN-only sessions, providing a safe and inclusive environment for individuals to explore and engage with their senses. These sessions are designed with specific sensory needs in mind, offering a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all. Our dedicated team works closely with parents and carers to ensure that each user receives the maximum benefit from our sensory room, providing a nurturing and inclusive environment for everyone.
· If you have little ones, we also have baby and toddler sessions available. These sessions are age-appropriate and provide a nurturing environment for infants and toddlers to discover and develop their senses. It’s never too early to start the sensory exploration journey!
· Our parent and child groups are popular with those who want to ensure their little one is socialising in a safe environment where they can explore and engage with the interactive sensory equipment.
· For those who may struggle in a group setting or prefer a more exclusive experience, we offer affordable private sessions. This allows you to have the entire sensory space to yourself or your group, ensuring maximum privacy and flexibility. Perfect for families, friends, or small gatherings looking for an intimate sensory adventure! We have different private hire sessions for up to 6 users, up to 9 users and up to 12 users (parents/carers not included as users)
Why did we choose to create a Silver Lining Sensory?
During our time working in the care sector, we have supported many individuals with their social support. Quite often, these individuals have addition needs, autism or sensory processing disorder. This means that more popular days out such as theme parks or bowling is too over whelming to them. The busy atmosphere and crowds of people often means these individuals are not able to regulate their emotions, and this can be extremely distressing for them. When we tried to find a sensory room in the local area, we found that there was nothing for members of the public to book for an adult nearby. We decided to use one of our rooms and build our own little sensory room for our service users to access. As we started creating it, we quickly realised that many people would benefit from the sensory room, regardless of age or ability. Silver Lining Sensory will welcome everyone and will have dedicated bookings depending on age and needs.
